Harem Pant Redux: Turning Too Tight Pants into Infinity Scarves

Team Taylor, a couple that is near and dear to our hearts, went on a tour of Asia for their honeymoon a few years ago and they brought back all types of goodies for me and the hubby.  I got a bundle of gorgeous fabrics and hubby got some super soft harem pants and even a smoking jacket style robe.

Even though they purchased XL pants, Asian sizes and North American sizes tend to differ…by a lot.  One pair didn’t fit at all and the other pair fit, but weren’t great for movement.  Since he wanted to wear the pants for lounging, he needed something comfortable.  The pants sat in a drawer until I decided to reorganize it…I do that occasionally because…OCD.  Anyway, I knew he was holding on to them because he didn’t want to throw out such a thoughtful gift.  And who said he had to.

Since I know how much he loves both soft things AND an infinity scarf, I decided to turn these super soft pants into two infinity scarves for him.

I didn’t use a pattern.  I legit just cut some rectangles out based on other scarves I’ve made for him. He was really excited to try them on with the new kimono style top and new kicks he just got.
