Style Fashion Week Los Angeles: SS18 Day 2

For Day 2 of Style Fashion Week I only had three outfit changes before coming up with this star spangled inappropriateness.

The first half of the night was all about the kiddies.

KK Swimwear, a swim line for girls and teens, showed first.  I would have loved to see more of a variety in patterns and colors.  But I was head over heels for the design.  Girls of all shapes and sizes were considered and there were a bunch of unique pieces in this collection.

Next was Michelle Ann with several beautiful age appropriate dresses. The teenwear was on trend without pushing the button too far like a lot of junior collections.

The last designer of the first show was Ydamys Simo.  I've seen her work before and I L-O-V-E it! She brings something dreamy and fanciful to every piece.  And her use of color and patterns is truly excellent.

The second half of the night brought one of my favorite designers thus far.

First up was Moods of Norway.  They're established in the menswear realm.  But in recent seasons have added tailored womenswear to their repritoi.

Next was Something by Sonjia by Sonjia Williams of Project Runway fame.  I couldn't love this collection more.  It reminded me of something an extra from The Wiz would wear.  PS-The Wiz is one of my top style inspirations.  Anyway...

The final show of the evening was Mario De La Torre. I feel like he's really grown since I first saw him show his SS16 collection two years ago.

And here are some shots of just a few of the beautiful people in attendance.
