Style Fashion Week Los Angeles: SS18 Day 3
Even though I'm 36, I occasionally allow myself to indulge in a little Forever21. And that's where I found this bell sleeved dress. It was on sale for $13 and with my promo code it came to about $10. The boots, however, are See by Chloe. Hows that for a little high-low fashion?
But let's get into the fashion for the night. Six designers showed on Day three.
1. Chicago Playground
They specialize in streetwear...if the street s running through an HBCU. I really liked their spin on the letterman jacket. Way to black it up.
2. Links by Gwen
Jewelry/apparel? Wearable art? Whatever you call it, you ca't help but be fascinated by the pieces that make up the Links collection.
3. Honee
The first time I saw Honee show was last season and I was entralled. I didn't know what I was looking at, but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I felt the same way this time. I think the pieces are ever so slightly more wearable. Although I don't think ready-to-wear is the intent here at all.
4. David Tupaz
Though the overall aesthetic isn't my cup of tea, there were at least a few pieces in this collection I'd totally wear.
5. Richard Hallmarq
Yet another Project Runway alum gave an impressive showing at Style Fashion Week. I really liked the versitility of the pieces in this collection.
6. Mint Swim
Reality star, Draya Michele closed the evening with her Mint Swim line. I was sad to see that there wasn't really anything for us thicker dolls to wear. But literally every piece was dumb cute. So I'll give it a pass on the fact that there's no real plus options.
