Recipe: Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Honey Mustard
Since we’re trying to eat a little healthier, we’ve been looking for some sides that don’t involve loads of carbs. I’d come across a few brussels sprout recipes and decided to combine them to make this one and it’s GOOOOD y’all.
Ingredients:
Sprouts:
1-1 ½ pounds brussels sprouts, halved
2 strips bacon, chopped into small pieces
1 ½ tablespoon ghee, melted
½ teaspoon Slap Ya Mama
Salt and pepper to taste
Drizzle:
1 ½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoon honey
1 ½ teaspoon dijon mustard
Directions:
1. Preheat oven at 400°.
2. In a large bowl, mix together brussels sprouts, melted ghee, and Slap Ya. Sprinkle with salt and ground pepper and toss.
3. Spread evenly on a parchment covered baking sheet. Sprinkle chopped bacon evenly on top.
3. Roast for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring at 10-minute intervals. The brussels sprouts should be tender and slightly browned. Remove from heat.
4. In a small bowl, mix together balsamic vinegar, honey and creole mustard. Drizzle over roasted brussels sprouts and gently mix.
