I used to look forward to summertime. It meant not having to go to school, wearing cute sundresses and beach time! But as I grew older and my thighs grew thicker, inevitable chub rub was the only thing I could associate with summer time. And now that I live in SoCal, it’s basically summer year-round. Also, I have eczema and supersensitive skin. So the rub, for me, is particularly awful (and a little gross).

I’ve tried several things to prevent it. The first was baby powder. While it’s helpful for about 10 minutes., it generally stops working and it gets really messy once you get a good sweat lather going. I’ve also tried shapewear shorts. These actually work like a charm. But sometimes I have zero need or desire to be girdled in. Additionally, sorry (not sorry) Mom, but I will not now, not ever, be wearing a slip.
